It was Valentine day, and I have no girlfriend and no life, so I decided to go through all the Total War 3K gameplay videos that has been release so far. *Be Advised: This list only includes units whose name has been revealed in gameplay videos, so this list is NOT COMPLETE 3K UNIT ROSTER AND CAN BE DIFFERENT WHEN THE GAME IS RELEASED. Medieval 2: Total War has quite a bit to frown upon, however it was a great stepping-stone for the serie's past and remarkably enough it has so much content to offer that it still makes a great stand-alone game- despite all of these descrepancies. Feel free to edit them into your post: By the way, we currently know of 72 different units, 65 when excluding captain units. I haven't seen any with longer spears than the (Heavy) Ji Militia/Infantry. That is unfortunate. Pike-esque formations (such as spear wall) are in the game though as could be seen in the videos for the 'Ambush of Sun Ren' battle. Was what you saw just a regular spear wall with 1 row of spears sticking out, or was it a pike wall with overlapping pikes (in a pike formation seen from RTW/Attila that could hold off enemy troops indefinitely)? I am referring to the Renaissance, Macedonian, and Warring States (and later?) era longer pike formations where you have multiple ranks of overlapping pikes directed towards the enemy.
