I'm also disappointed.Beside a bit(!) of 'modern' windows style, theres is no big improvement.Only the feature with undockable and skalable windows is good. But with every restart the windows are docked again. And the undocked windows are always on top above every other window. The behave of FSC that it is stealing the focus if you have mouse-zoom enabled is still present.Any other style and design is as it was also in FSC8'Google Earth support' is nothing more than exporting a KML file to GE. Do not expect that you have a GE map in FSC nor you have your flight live in GE.:angry:But everybody could try the demo and build his own opinion.

Well, I got ver 8 then 8.6 in Jan 2009.I have really just finished learning most of the program. Now, with ver 9 out, there will be 'no questions answered on their Support Forum' for this ver 8.6 or earlier versions. They will only allow questions on version 9.That would be strange. But I doubt that this will happen.Do you have an experience basis to get to such an assumption? Edited: I just saw your picture in the post and:Shocked:8.6 won't be suddenly outdated and so they have at least two products to support then: 8.6 and the newer 9.x releases.

A task that can be handled in my eyesI wouldn't expect any big 8.6 improvements coming though but that's a common policy. Edited: To stop answering questions towards the older product is a different thing. Not very customer friendly in my eyes. Grbl controller software.

I think, I'll drop my support too and let this 9.0 pass me. I have no problem if updates aren't available for 8.x from now on but to completely drop support for existing customers for so little improvements in 9.0 and at least 25 Euros to spend is remarkable in some way. Not the policy I like to support. Thanks for the HU, vonmar. Good question indeed. I can't find a list there and the trial version doesn't look worth +25 Euros for me so far.

Especially the Google Earth support is a big downside in my eyes. But I still have FS Earth for this which I bought some years agoI'll use the 8.6 for planning which is still sufficient and I'm looking forward to any Plan G updates too. A great software and e. A very good Google Earth/Maps integration there. And it's donationware with a great supportMaybe FSC 9.0 gets more interesting in future versions and maybe they think about this strange support policy again which is a big show stopper for me.The current version looks like 8.6 with a slightly updated user interface.

The map views are the same (even those sometimes too big popups there), there is no Google Earth live view option (like in the freeware Plan G) and, as guenseli mentioned, even the old bugs are present.I didn't expect a free upgrade with a version number jump but I've expected some major reworks and new features. Together with the still present bugs and the strange support policy showing, this one will have to wait a while or longer. Ouch!!!!I wish hadn't uninstalled my FSC v8.6 along with all my user data, before seeing this thread:Black Eye: I've been eagerly awaiting this release too. From what I can see so far, I agree, there seems VERY little difference between the two versions. Also, that statement on their site about no longer answering questions for v8.6 is VERY reminiscent of CS in their earlier days. Not at all what I consider 'customer friendly'.Even with my 'discount', I think I'll pass on this and move over fully to Plan-G.
